Wien

Taking a break from the spurt of posts on Istanbul (which there will most certainly be more of!) to present a few of the many faces of Vienna.

It took a while to get a feel of the place, not in the least because my senses were (and still are) overwhelmed by Istanbul, but it's sort of grown on me.

P.S: I really like the photos I've taken here so far, if I may say so myself. Hee.

lovely photos from vienna. and congrats on finally making it to istanbul -it looks amazing. is on my list of places to go as well. i was in the neighbourhood last month, in greece. many of the churches, even the new ones, looked quite ottoman (which in turn, look byzantine), but you're not supposed to say that aloud!

Anand - you just have to go to Istanbul....it´s just unbelievable.
I was in Greece too! Only Thessaloniki though, because I wanted to take the train to Istanbul...it was interesting and the cultural similarities were very apparent....though the greeks really didn´t like that I kept refering to a lot of the food there by the Turkish names!

Vienna's gorgeous, but I never really connected with it somehow. Maybe I needed to spend more time there - how long were you there?

Lovely pictures.:)

Alok: I will write more. Next post on Vienna.

Aishwarya: I know what you mean. I was there for a week and it took me three days before I got a sense of the place. How many days did u spend?

AQC, TS, Madhuri, Ocarina: Thank You.
