What a nice picture! Just like everything you normally photograph, by the way. I love the colour of the sky, and was it as hot as it looks in the picture?

Gorgeous!
I am hoping to visit Selçuk when I make my way to Turkey in a short while. It comes highly recommended.

p.s.: Have been secretly admiring your blog for a while.

How it arches without support at the top is very humbling science.

brilliant... the whole picture just captures the very essence of the Mediterranean- the azure sky, the heat, brown grass from the dry summer, bleached ruins (was this a hippodrome, by the way?) and a solitary tree

yes, szerelem, it is truly beautiful. your composition is highly symbolic, the way you opposed the green tree to the ruin in the background...

Thank you all!

Pan: Efes was actually really pleasant and not that hot...we were lucky!

icon-o-plastic: Thanks and welcome! Oh, you must visit Selcuk. Efes is great and the town in itself is adorable and charming. When are you going and for how long?

.: Indeed.

TR: thank you!

Zuma: It was the agora if I remember correctly. This is probably my favourite picture out of all I took at Efes.

Roxana: Thank you :) I actually thought that tree looked really beautiful - especially with all the ruins in the foreground and the arch in the back...Efes was beautiful and the trees, grass and flowers coming into bloom added a lot to the ruins...

I was hoping to visit in Dec but I am guessing that's not going to happen.

Somewhere in between I want to drop in Jordan for a quick dekko.
