Photographing people

I try to avoid the eyes, it fails to truly capture the spirit if they're looking in to the camera, their faces changes subconsciously. Nice pictures though, at first I thought Chandni Chowk, then Nizamuddin... How far off am I?

renovatio: Mostly Chandni Chowk and Chawri Bazaar, one of Nizamuddin.
Sometimes I picture people surreptitiously, sometimes the know you are photographing them and go about their business as usual, other times I just ask them if I can picture them - like the anar seller (I live that picture actually).

??!: Lame :D

Acchi auntie...hahaha

I almost didn't submit this since the word verification was so ridiculous. 'lhitlhrh.'

Szerelem hon, hugs for you. Your photographs capture my Delhi like no one else. The hues come out perfectly and the natural light is just right. But surely the man is not selling anar in the monsoon?

And the last photo - Paranthewali Gali. A man there sells the most amazing lassi in the world -topped up with fresh khurchan - heaven! I ate twice in Chandni Chowk on my last trip, and sighed all the way back to LA at the thought of the mediocrity that passes as Indian food in the US.

T_M: Thank you so much :)
Yes anars were being sold (and they weren't bad!) and also lovely pink guavas and sharifas...

And that last pic is paranthewali gali!! OMG I went crazy eating in Chandni Chowk - just the most amazing kachoris and aloo berni, matar samosas, jalebas and my favourite phirni at Karims. Aye, am a mass of drool now :)
