Friend of mine's doing a little self-given project on islamic architecture. I should send him your way.

When did you go to Dargah Nizamuddin? One of my favourite places in Delhi. And of course, I have pictures from the top of the Jama Masjid minaret as well.

It's funny, I went to the top of the minaret twice, both times with men who were friends but not dates. The staircase made me so claustrophobic that I wished I could hug and cling on to them - but didn't want to make it all awkward :).

??!: Thank you!

renovatio: Sounds like a fun...what sort of project?

T_M: Actually, it was my first visit to Nizamuddin and I was a bit disappointed. The streets up to Nizamuddin were so crowded and dirty and there was not one woman around and in general I did not feel very comfortable. It might just be me or maybe it was a bad time or such but it still was not the best experience.
I love the Jama Masjid so much :) But I was not allowed to climb up the minaret alone so had to wait for some one (turned out to be a Polish tourist) to turn up before I could. I was not claustrophobic but I was pretty scared at the top.

I love your photos - you already know that - but the ones of the Jama Masjid are just lovely. Actually I really want to go back with a better camera (right now I just have thos tiny Sony Cybershots with a 3x zoom). My first pay and I'll buy a SLR. Oh and next time I'm in Delhi can we plan a photo outing together? :)
