Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived.

This city that I love...
I leave tomorrow and dear lord, I am going to weep my eyes out...who said you can´t love a city like a person?
:) Yes I have been thinking that too. I think a longer stint would probably mean coming up against all the problems and all that is not so nice in the city again and again. In anycase, I am thinking of shifting there next year for a while since I want to specialise in Middle Eastern studies anyway...it's all very tentative but let's see...
good good.. and after that you should head towards new york city. middle east studies is very hot at columbia i've heard... and this city i am sure will give your favourite one a tough competitition (am guessing nyc hasn't made it yet in your world tours)
haha yes it is! they have a really great program and faculty...though that's another reason I'm thinking of going to Turkey first - I don't think I would ever get through as of now and funding is a big consideration as well...NYU has a really good program too...
I don't know if you can love a city like a person, and I don't really care. What I do know is that I fell faster for that city than any woman or man I've fallen for, before or since.

you know *nothing*
I haven't experienced it so wouldn't know but but it is probably possible!
You need to live there for some time and see if it is the kind of love that lasts...
