Since I had my camera with me today, I was only too happy to oblige the little fellow.(Not that I am superstitious or anything but there's no saying about photographing a black cat, right?)

lovely play of colours, i say. as far as the superstition is concerned, i guess you are safe: you didn't take a picture of the cat crossing your path :-)

Also, thanks for the link to the McCurry - I've seen the documentary. Actually, she was married and in Afghanistan and had no idea her picture was famous!
i was about to say the same - as long as it didn't cross your trail...
Black cats are supposed to be lucky right? (which is why they should not cross your path). So a photo of a black cat should be lucky too?

I really love it, the colours and the texture of the wall are great - especially since the cat has neither, I think this also makes him look ghostly :-)
