Poseur

Since I had my camera with me today, I was only too happy to oblige the little fellow.

(Not that I am superstitious or anything but there's no saying about photographing a black cat, right?)

lovely play of colours, i say. as far as the superstition is concerned, i guess you are safe: you didn't take a picture of the cat crossing your path :-)

Feanor: Hi and welcome!! Thank you - a perfectly positioned cat, eh? Though I realise the eyes have come out slightly spooky in the picture.

Also, thanks for the link to the McCurry - I've seen the documentary. Actually, she was married and in Afghanistan and had no idea her picture was famous!

i was about to say the same - as long as it didn't cross your trail...

Black cats are supposed to be lucky right? (which is why they should not cross your path). So a photo of a black cat should be lucky too?

oh i love this. the perfect match between eye and painted wall: almost as if the kitty is a silhouette cut from black paper.

He's hot!

TR: It didn't :)

Lekhni: I didn't know that they were actually considered lucky. Well, lets hope about the photo.

km: thanks!

e: thanks :) Your description made me think of karagoz!

iz: hmmm, really? I'm not that into cats myself.

what a gorgeous creature!

I really love it, the colours and the texture of the wall are great - especially since the cat has neither, I think this also makes him look ghostly :-)

lekhni: Hmm, I never knew any of that stuff!

Spacebar: I have to agree - even though I am completely not a cat person. They totally freak me out.

Roxana: Welcome! Thanks, and I very much agree about the cat looking ghostly!
