India may no longer fit the ciché as the land of snake charmers but that doesnt mean you don't see the men with cobras and bagpipes around. One turned up right behind my house today morning. I could hear the tune of
Nagina from home and happily rushed out to take pictures.

Other pictures that have been taken are of the neighbourhood
garden/park. The light was rather lovely today evening.

hey, glad to see you got your muse back :-)
ReplyDeletelike a wise man once said,
once in a while you get shown the light
in the strangest of places if you look at it right
Having left Delhi so long ago, it's easy to forget how spectacularly majestic some of that old architecture is.
ReplyDeleteKeep 'em coming.
loved the pic of the bridge, it almost looked surreal.
ReplyDeleteAwwww Lodhi Gardens seems to be a perennial favourite with both photographers and movie-makers. I have such lovely personal memories of school picnics, dates and just relaxed afternoons with friends there.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thanks to your angle on that bridge pictures, I realized what a remarkable resemblance there is between the Lodhi Garden bridge and this:

(One of the many famous bridges of Isfahan - built in the 16th century so a contemporary of Lodhi Gardens)
TR: Ummm....but whatever made you think the muse had gone away?
ReplyDeleteMT: Yes, the Delhi architecture is amazing. Had gone to Old Delhi today to take pictures, shall put up soon.
Chimera: Thanks! I love that picture too.
T_M: I have wanted to visit Isfahan for so long now....and I have seen pictures of that bridge before but you're right the angles of both the pictures bring out the similarities.
Lovely. But you're not helping Szerelem, I just feel weirdly homesick when I see your pictures. Hmpf.
ReplyDeleteok, the muse was hiding her light under a bushel. or just not going online very much or forgotten her blogger password. or something.
ReplyDeletePunkster: Thanks! And sorry :(
ReplyDeleteTR: More like over eating and over sleeping.
damn. which delhi is this? my version looks somewhat different. or less artistically portrayed, at least.
ReplyDeleteand now i'm not there anymore, so double damn.
