Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived.
When did you go to Dargah Nizamuddin? One of my favourite places in Delhi. And of course, I have pictures from the top of the Jama Masjid minaret as well.
It's funny, I went to the top of the minaret twice, both times with men who were friends but not dates. The staircase made me so claustrophobic that I wished I could hug and cling on to them - but didn't want to make it all awkward :).
renovatio: Sounds like a fun...what sort of project?
T_M: Actually, it was my first visit to Nizamuddin and I was a bit disappointed. The streets up to Nizamuddin were so crowded and dirty and there was not one woman around and in general I did not feel very comfortable. It might just be me or maybe it was a bad time or such but it still was not the best experience. I love the Jama Masjid so much :) But I was not allowed to climb up the minaret alone so had to wait for some one (turned out to be a Polish tourist) to turn up before I could. I was not claustrophobic but I was pretty scared at the top.
oh my god! we seem to have the ditto set of pics.. esp Jama masjid :). Check out my . Jama masjid, safdarjung tomb, lodhi garden - they all are there :P :)
The hyperlink id right here :) Blogger must have been acting up!
I think we have basically been photographiung the same places no? Though I didn't visit Safdarjungs tomb this time. I love your photos - you already know that - but the ones of the Jama Masjid are just lovely. Actually I really want to go back with a better camera (right now I just have thos tiny Sony Cybershots with a 3x zoom). My first pay and I'll buy a SLR. Oh and next time I'm in Delhi can we plan a photo outing together? :)
pwetty.
ReplyDeleteone assumes you still start work monday - good luck and all.
Friend of mine's doing a little self-given project on islamic architecture. I should send him your way.
